the 9th set ! 🤩
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back with some more character icons and this time, it's characters you might not even know. If you're not familiar with them, keep reading 😊
For this set, we have :
1.) Dudly D. Duck - Donald's cousin. First appeared in the comic story "Why All the Crabby Ducks?" by Vic Lockman and Mike Arens.
2.) Cousin Nancy - another one of Donald's cousins, a photojournalist. Appeared in a Bob Gregory story, "A Likely Story".
3.) Aunt Eider - the aunt of Scrooge McDuck and John D. Rockerduck, described as a weird character in INDUCKS. First appeared in "Most Helpful Aunt Eider" by Dick Kinney and Al Hubbard.
4.) Dimwitty - a relative in the Duck family, mostly known as a companion of Moby Duck. First appeared in "The Vanishing Banister" by Vic Lockman and Tony Strobl.
5.)-6.) unknown Duck elders - known as the "the elders of the Duck clan" alongside Scrooge McDuck. The two appeared in the story, "The Giant Of Duckburg" by Vic Lockman and Tony Strobl.
7.) Gran'daddy Daniel - an anscestor of Donald who is known to be the one who spotted the great hurricane of 1878 which saved many lives. Is shown in the same story that featured the unknown Duck elders.
8.) Shamrock Gander - a nephew of Gladstone Gander. First appeared in a Daisy Duck story, "Family fortune" by Tony Strobl.

Random question, but do you know who Hackney mcwebfoot is? If so do you have any opinions on him?
Tumblr media
Nope! Never heard of him, but he looks cool! Liked the design, motivations, and plot to be honest! I know Donald has more obscure cousins like Dudly D. Duck  and Sheriff Dan Duck, and also a lot of uncles... We already have too many writers in this family though...
The Duck family is a chaotic mess since anyone had the freedom to create any random cousins and uncles they wanted too... It’s insane to follow and create believably headcanons for all these ducks/ family trees, so I have some personal rules;
1- “Personal“ canon relatives have to appear in at least two or three comics.
2- “Personal“ canon relatives have to be acknowledged by other characters as Donald’s family, and the triplets don’t count.
3- “Personal“ canon relatives must interact with other family members as their own kin, and the triplets don’t count. Bonus points if they have different relationships with different family members,
Abner Whitewater Duck BARELY passes the test, but his rivalry with Don/Scrooge and having a McDuck as a mentor kinda won him canon status to me...
(And Kildare passes the test with flying colors, he’s just italian-exclusive.)
Ludwig Von Drake is not even a real relative but he kinda passes the three too, besides that small detail.
Gideon passes too.

Well, that’s because he isn’t part of the duck cousins...
Everybody is free to headcanon whatever they like, but we have no idea where in the family tree Moby Duck (But at least he is part of a published official Family Tree) and Dim-Witty Duck would be placed.
In Dim-Witty’s case he is mostly refered as a “helper” or “worker” and not as a relative, and Duck is a pretty common surname in universe (Like, Daisy is also a “Duck”) so there’s a big chance he is not part of the family at all.
(Dudly D. Duck is canonically Donald’s cousin but he also never got any fandom love...)
Can we please acknowledge the fact the Dim-Witty exist!
Tumblr media
I mean he's just a frikien cutie! And it's so easy to understand that he's related to fethry
Tumblr media
I mean their basically the same person only one is super dumb and the other is super smart. I just think we should acknowledge him a bit more like we do Kildare.

Young Edwin duck!
Edwin is a completely OC character I made to be in place of Nancy and Dudly duck’s father in the duck family tree, He is the son of Stonewall Duck (brother of humperdink) making him cousin to Eider, Daphne and Quackmore.
~10 Headcanons~
1: He was a very shy boy growing up, preferring to sit alone and read instead of running around playing or going to social events.
2: He’s younger then his older cousins, but he graduated before them due to his high intelligence and IQ
3: he inherited his green feathers and blue hair from his mother, a peacock lady named Jayna, she passed away delivering his egg.
4: he liked sci-fi shows and books growing up.
5: He wasn’t a fan of scrooge, feeling he should leave old treasures where they are or at least donate them to a museum in the country the belong instead of in his mansion and money bin
6: he was a groomsman at both Eider and Quackmore’s weddings.
7; he’s one of the few male ducks to wear pants, preferring to keep himself as covered as possible due to anxiety.
8: He adopted Nancy and Dudly when he was 25, he often helped orphanages and foster programs, donating money or offering free tutoring so those kids got a good education they needed.
9: He’s a professor at a university in Spoonerville, where he lives and raised Nancy and Dudly. He teaches, History, Ancient cultures and Geology
10: There had been times where Scrooge called on him for information about certain relics, artifacts and locations, Edwin hated these calls, because no matter how many times he begged Scrooge to just leave the artifact alone or give it back to its country of origin. Scrooge would ignore him.
~Bonus~
He’s still alive today, now in his 60′s

The most elusive Duck Cousin emerges (other than Whitewater and Della and Dudly... you know what they’re all pretty elusive!)
Tumblr media
I finally translated this comic to show you guys! Yey!
Here is the link: https://imgur.com/a/zh1Aq
Created by Romano Scarpa and Giorgio Cavazzano it was first published on
10/25/1964, just months after the first Fethry comic! (So Kildare is a scorpio XD)
Tumblr media
I’m really not expecting much views on that, I know Kildare is a very obscure character but I really like this comic! The way the nephews act, Donald being a complete ass, Kildare doing nothing wrong…
It’s almost funny how less annoying than Fethry he is!
